We are thrilled to announce that the sale of Ockbrook School project, managed by Nick Hughes, is the 2025 CoStar Impact Awards winner in the ‘Lease of the Year’ (East Midlands) category.
The letting also resulted in Hilco Global Real Estate Advisory winning the 2025 CoStar Annual Awards ‘Most Active Disposal Agent (s/f)’ in Derby.
The CoStar Impact Awards recognise exemplary commercial real estate transactions and projects completed in 2024 that have significantly influenced neighbourhoods or submarkets across 129 major international markets in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada and were selected by a panel of more than 630 esteemed industry professionals. The awards honours those selected for their CRE transactions across three categories: Lease of the Year, Sale/Acquisition of the Year and Commercial Development of the Year.
Each year, commercial real estate professionals have the opportunity to submit their completed sales for the CoStar Annual Awards. CoStar review and analyse thousands of these submissions to determine the top-performing deals and recognise standout achievements in the industry.
After standing vacant since financial challenges forced its closure in 2021, the former Ockbrook school building is set for a new chapter. The children’s charity Over The Wall has stepped in and secured a 40-year lease, breathing new life into the premises and opening the door to exciting opportunities ahead.
Over The Wall is a UK-based charity that offers children with long-term health conditions and disabilities a place to have fun with others in a safe environment. The development has enabled the charity to increase the number of children it can support and to establish a more permanent site for hosting its residential camps.
