On the Instructions of David Shambrook, Gordan Thomson and Stephanie Sutton of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP, Joint Administrators of Teesside Green Energy Park Limited, we are pleased to offer for sale an ROC accredited Biomass plant located at Tansterne, near Hull. The facility, when operational, is capable of processing 120,000 tonnes of Grade C waste wood producing 23MWe of electricity.

The salient details are as follows:

  • Designed by Heat Recovery Solutions (HRS), energised in 2017 and commissioned in 2018 with a total investment to date of c.£87m.
  • The Plant comprises: 2 x 10.86T per hour feedstock to burner delivery systems, 2 FG Wilson 11kV-415kVa transformers, HRS recovery solutions, HRS heat exchanger, 1 Trivien Luftkin 22500kW x 480Deg C x 66Bar steam Turbine & WEG Generator and 58m Flare Stack.
  • Gross electrical capacity of 23MWe, generated by a steam turbine supplied with high pressure, super-heated steam from Stein Muller fluidised bed boiler.
  • The Plant was accredited by Ofgem in 2020 and benefits from 1.4 ROCs/MWh of generation until 2037.
  • Grid connection agreement in place with Northern Powergrid with a maximum export capacity of 22MW.
  • Occupying a freehold site extending to c.10 acres, with two areas leased to Northern PowerGrid.
  • Feedstock contract secured for 10 years from commencement of commercial operations with the option to extend for two further 5 year periods.
  • Long term operation and maintenance contract with BWSC for a period of 10 years.
