Acting on behalf of William Matthew Humphries Tait and Mark Thornton of BDO LLP, Joint Administrators of Spurgeon’s College, we are offering an exclusive opportunity to acquire a wide range of specialist theological and educational assets through a range of sales via an online tender sale.

Spurgeon’s College was a leading Baptist theological college, known and respected throughout the Baptist community worldwide. The Joint Administrators are offering a unique opportunity to become part of that history and its revered founder, Charles Haddon Spurgeon.

There is unlikely to be a better opportunity to commemorate and participate in the history of Spurgeon’s College, and the late Charles Spurgeon.

Removal

  • Removal Deadline: Friday 3 October 2025, 3:00pm BST
  • Removal Hours: Monday 22 September – Friday 3 October 2025, (Excluding Weekends), 9:00am – 3:00pm BST, Strictly by Appointment
  • Collection is only permitted once a paid in full invoice has been received
  • The Buyer and or their removal contractor must supply their own lifting equipment Method statements and risk assessments, copies of all relevant insurances documents and operator licenses must be supplied and approved ahead of any item being dismantled or moved in accordance with Health & Safety policies. Site attendance for the duration of the removal process to be confirmed and agreed in advance

Terms & Conditions

  • Buyer’s Premium of 18% will be applicable to this sale
  • VAT at 20% will be added to the total price and Buyer’s Premium. Purchasers from overseas should note that the VAT on the Buyer’s Premium is not recoverable
  • All payments must be cleared in our account by Monday 22 September 2025
  • All Lots must be removed by Friday 3 October 2025, 3:00pm BST
  • All persons arriving on site must report to the entrance and complete the signing in procedure book
