Expanding Our Northern Real Estate Team,
Meet Sean Flynn!

We’re excited to share that our Real Estate presence in the North is growing! As part of our continued expansion, we’re proud to welcome upcoming talent to the Hilco team, with the addition of Sean Flynn, Graduate Surveyor. This strategic move reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients and fostering greater collaboration across the region.

Prior to joining Hilco, Sean previously worked within residential lettings and property management for nearly 8 years, both in Lincolnshire and for the last four years with a firm based around Yorkshire. Following the completion of his Real Estate and Property Management degree from Leeds Beckett University, he knew surveying was the best career choice to match his skillset.

The role at Hilco specifically drew him in, as he felt it was a great chance to work somewhere that has the capacity to assist on a variety of jobs across various property sectors, which in turn would have the best chance of being able to obtain the best perspective of the industry as a whole. Sean has expressed excitement towards learning more about the business in relation to insolvency, as it is not necessarily something he has dealt with day-to-day before. Having now started with us, Sean has been surprised over how large the variety of work there is, not just within the real estate team but, across the whole business.

Already experiencing site visits, Sean has been able to apply his degree knowledge taught by MRICS surveyors who showed him the fundamentals and application of valuation methodologies, inspections, and report writing. Looking ahead, Sean is eager to learn as much as possible about the profession and the business, gaining as much experience as he can from each job and interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.

Did you know? Outside of surveying, Sean is an avid drum player, having played for the past 10 years!
