Hilco is delighted to offer for sale the business and assets of a UK-based leading womenswear designer and retailer, that specialises in garments to fit and flatter curvy figures (“the Company”). Established in 2008, the Company has been founder-led from inception, and offers a range of size-inclusive designer clothes and accessories. It has established itself as a leading brand within the figure-flattering fashion marketplace. It has strong UK foundations, with the majority of its items manufactured in England, and sales being via its e-commerce store.

Business Highlights

Company Founder and the Skilled Team – Business operations are undertaken by a team of 4. The founder leads business operations, has personal relationships with a significant number of key customers and is the figurehead of the brand. She is interested in working with a purchaser of the business and assets (subject to agreeing terms).

Iconic Designer Brand – The sale presents buyers with the opportunity to acquire a leading women’s fashion brand with a loyal following that is worn by a number of celebrities.

Collections – Specialising in dresses, including a range of luxury gowns made from materials including silk, sequin and velvet, collections also include jumpsuits, coats/jackets, trousers, hats and shapewear. All in-house prints and garments are designed by the founder. Retail prices up to £600.

Online Presence & Loyal Customer Base – The brand is supported by its its lucrative e-commerce site, and has a significant number of followers across various social media accounts. The Company also has amassed a loyal customer following and holds a database of c. 50k customer records.

Trading – Turnover of c. £2.2m during the 12 months to the end of Feb 2024. Recent historic turnover of c. £3.5m pa.

Business Assets

The Brand & Goodwill – The established and trade mark-protected brand and the goodwill attached to the Company.

Designs – The in-house designs (completed by the founder) which include c. 40 pieces currently in production/retail.

Digital and Brand Assets – The branded domain name, social media accounts, customer / subscriber databases and the Company’s e-commerce website.

Stock – Stock of finished garments and materials, with a cost price of c. £300,000.

Leasehold Property – The leasehold interest in the office premises in London  (expiring May 2024).
